About The Album
Prerequisites for a Cloudy Day is a concept album. All the songs on the cd are entitled "A Song For..." The CD has a total of 12 tracks, the demo,4. The album was started shortly after The Bakery dismantled - "A Song For This Girl (Burn)" was actually written before the band was debunked. 2 or 3 of the songs were written in the summer of '05. When school started for the '05-'06 year the band went through a writing spurt and wrote the rest of the cd in less than a month. Too Late, Too Loud was not officially named till after the CD was completed - though the name had been in the works for a very long time. The Bakery had even at one point thought of adopting the name. Here is a full track listing with notes by Laura Brunkala of the album to come.
1. A Song For A Hero - Introduction to the CD, it was one of the songs written before school started. It was even shorter than it's minute long span but additional lyrics were added right before the first show.
2.A Song For This Girl - The second oldest song on the album, This Girl was written in response to the overwhelming amounts of pink clothes and good girl attitudes sorrounding me last year. I felt different and independent and strong - that's what this girl reflects.
3. A Song For A Lover (Burn) - The oldest song on the new cd, Burn was written in the passion of freshmen year for me at Miami. It's deeply personal and holds more meaning than I can say. It's exposing and internal all at the same time, I love this song.
4. A Song For A Shotgun Wound to the Chest - This song was written in a transition period. It's a goodie.
5. A Song For Identity Theft (Lost Wallet) - Dustin expressed true fortune telling capabilities when he wrote this one. He entitled the song "lost wallet blues." I was so confused. I enquired as to what this song had to do with losing a wallet and Dustin said that he didn't know it should just be called that. I scoffed at him. The next day, I lost my wallet. And so the song is basically me losing my wallet and writing about the independence it gave me - the opposite of what it should have had - no blues on this end of the deal.
6. A Song For Heartbreak - Once again, a deeply personal and hard song to write but a freeing experience.
7. A Song For Hunting - A fun song for me. Loved writing this one and love playing live. People like to dance to it.
8. A Song For What I Want - Pretty self explainatory. The song has broad vocal parts under a moving guitar part, reminisanct of QOTSA. The thing thats the kicker about this song is Dustin wrote the guitar parts on the off beats without telling me and I wrote the vocs on the downbeat. We have yet to solve this problem.
9. A Song For These Games - Always a favorite live, though we play it about 20 beats faster than we should.
10. A Song For Persistance - Originally written under the title "Avalon," it used to be about a herion addict. A Song For Persistance was completely reworked at school and all the vocal parts rewritten. Trust me when I say it's better than it used to be :)
11.A Song To Turn One Into Two - Slow and mellow, this song was written in a melcholy mood. It has a haunting melody with a sad overtones though it is gorgeous.
12. A Song For The Sun - Outro to the CD. Simple and lovable, this laid back tune simply lets the CD slide into a calm ending.

Yeah, we rock it like that. All Lyrics and Songs Copywrite 2005 by Too Late, Too Loud
